What is the El Paso Times Senior Fund Program?

A program coordinated thru the Rio Grande Area Agency on Aging and the El Paso Times Senior Fund to provide assistance for elderly residents 60 years of age or older in El Paso County. These programs are provided on a once a year basis only. Services that can be provided are:

·         Dental Assistance

·         Vision (Eye Exam & Frames)

·         Hearing (Exam & Hearing Aid)

·         Medications

·         Minor Home Repairs

·         Some Medical Equipment/Supplies

·         Some Transportation

Are there fees for qualifying?

No fees or qualifications, as long as clients are 60 years of age or older.

What happens after the application is received?

Applications are placed on a waiting list subject to availability of funds. A follow-up telephone call is made on a monthly basis on their waiting list status. Clients are notified once the funds become available.
